We visited Austin the other weekend and happened across this place just as we were needing a place to sit, sip wine, and munch. Everything was great, from the cheese plate to the wines. The waffle cut fries are worth another flight to Austin, seriously!! Thanks for the relaxing stop.

Pros: great food, great wine, great service

Cons: not in my home town

Great Food, Horrible Service and Weird Wine Selection

if you want to buy a bottle for lunch then this is your spot... otherwise they mainly only have red (blends) and Chardonays by the glass. The service is out of this world terrible. I have eaten there about 15 times and something has got jacked up everytime I go. I speak great english I was born and raised here. I have no idea where it all goes wrong.... they have no Pinot Grigio, no Merlot, No Cabernet. WEIRD!! What kind of wine bar is this place? But FOOD IS YUMMY!!!!

Pros: Good food

Cons: TERRBILE SERVICE and LIMITED SELECTION OF WINE

I had eaten a few times at Cissi's, but we were very surprised to discover that it has turned most of its grocery aisles into a wonderful, warm wine bar! This is the kind of place that we have been looking for in this area. Very relaxed but elegant environment, with library shelves of wine (I think also for sale by bottle), and a nice selection of wine and little plates (tapas). Prices were reasonable, and the ambiance kept us there far longer than we intended. Glad this is here, and we will be back!

Pros: Ambiance, selection, and simply something we haven't had in this area!

Cons: none so far (try parking in the hidden garage behind Cissi's)
