Austin International School's goal is to provide an excellent education for children, Pre-K to 5th Grade, based on a French-American educational structure, with recognition of the value of Spanish & the Hispanic culture in Texas & around the world.
Students are taught by native speakers in French, English & Spanish, enabling students of all nationalities to achieve fluency in each language. The approach is progressive- integrating American & French Curricula, which includes U.S. Social Studies & Language Arts, with science & technology teaching interwoven in the curriculum.
As a private school, our goal is to provide a traditional education foundation for children, while combining forward thinking, which prepares students well to excel today's world & tomorrow's.

Our son transferred to AIS this year after moving to the Austin area. We were skeptical that we'd find a school that we liked as much as our school in MN. Turns out, we like AIS better! All of the teachers have been so wonderful to our son (who is in pre-school) and he truly enjoys it. We have already heard him sing in French and Spanish and he's only been there a few months. He doesn't even realize he's speaking another language sometimes it's becoming so natural.
I would recommend AIS to any parent looking for a quality private education for their child.
Pros: Small Classes, Wonderful teachers, language immersion
