The Road Series consists of colors studies exploring the relationship between color and mood in a simple, unassuming way. They also convey the freedom of the open road at night and how the absence of daylight creates an entirely different, almost surreal, landscape. This work is actually a mixed media painting in relief, utilizing a magazine clipping of a beverage ad to further emphasize the freedom of the open road.
