I was born Samuel Joseph Watkins on December 25, 1976 in Fort Worth, Texas.

I moved to Lampasas, Texas in 1984 and lived there until I was 14. From there I lived in several towns in Texas, Arkansas, and Tennessee; eventually moving back to Texas in 1996.  The biggest turning point of my life came at 29 when I was playing at a coffee house after moving to Austin in 2006. It was then that I met and partnered with Tina Reza. If not for her, my music would not be alive today. So now I write songs and perform my music in hopes that it may be a positive influence to all who hear it.  I have been an artist all my life and my music is 100% original. I can perform Country or Rock but my specialty is Country!

I just finished my first CD and my music is now available for sale so please check out my website and let me know what you think {www.samwatkinscountry.com}. There are 12 songs on my CD, all originally written and performed by me.

I am currently working on my second CD.  One of my new songs "A New Way to Fly" has a rock/country style to it comparable to the title track "Has Anybody Seen Me?".  I will have the new CD finished and available by March 2008. I know you will enjoy it.
