Lack pf parental support. Poor administration. Inexperienced teachers

My child attends Martin, and although I see issues with the general atmosphere, students, and parents, I also see where leadership and teachers are trying to make changes. They realy keep an eye out for my daughter, keep her in mind for special programs, an she is treated well by her teachers and principals. A major part of the school's/child's success also depends on parental involvement at school and at home, and that is probably the biggest weakness.

This school has a lot of potential, but there are aspects that need improvement. For example, parent involvement is extremely low. Discipline is weak and there are many inexperienced teachers.

My son attended 6th grade at Martin, we (his father and I) absolutely enjoyed it. I brag about Martin Middle School all the time. I've encouraged my friends to have their chidren there as well. We all stay in touch & stay involved with our children & ask them lots of questions. My son made A/B Honor roll every semester, as well as perfect attendance. He has received credits for High School already. He took some honors classes as well, was involved with Leadership Academy also. He took Spanish and Band, that was awesome. This year for 7th grade, he is excited to play Football for Martin as well. I can go on and on! His 6th grade teachers were great. We are looking forward to our son attending 7th grade and 8th grade there as well. Thank you!
