Boone Elementary School Reviews

Boone Elementary is a great school...'Exemplary' in fact! I couldn't be happier with the staff and the education that my son is receiving.

What a terrific school. The administration and staff are amazing. They are very hard working. My kids are so happy there.

I can't belive how much my son learned in a year! The staff at Bonne is fun, caring and work very hard to teach our kids. They make parents feel welcomed and I wont even consider moving out of the boone school district!

I love this school! I am stunned by the negative reviews. Sounds like some bitter folks didn't work well with the school. I hope you will believe my view. The teachers are great. They truly care about my children. They call me when they need to. They use email which is helpful for a working parent. The office staff and administration are terrific. They are nice, helpful and always willing to listen. The school does not focus on TAKS. The teachers are really good teachers and work hard to help my two children. I love Boone. Stop by and give it a try before you believe these negative reviews.

I think Boone is a really great school and good teachers with great attitudes.

I absolutely love Boone. My son has been at Boone for the last 4 years. He has grown so much there and I must give Thanks to the Teachers, Counselors,Office Staff and everyone else. Boone is definately a family environment always there you the children and the families.

My son is a kindergartner this year at Boone. So far, things have gone well. His teacher is great and my son loves her. He seems to be learning a lot and loves being a Boone Bear.

My child was in this school for Kinder. He was rejected for the GT program, despite having a private evaluation that put him well into the GT range. He is now in fourth grade at a different school where his intelligence is valued and is a straight A student in an advanced program. Boone actually told me that my child, who was reading and understanding Harry Potter at the age of five (on his own), was below Pre-K level in reading. Unbelievable. This is not a good school for the academically geared child.

My twins just completed Kindergarten at Boone and loved every minute of it. Their teachers really nurtured them. They are very bright boys, and I never felt like other students or the teacher might be holding them back. I love the student diversity at Boone, and feel my sons are not only learning school subjects, but also great social skills. The TAKS scores, and recognized status speak for itself regarding Boone's academic performance. I love this school! My family will be moving to a different part of town, and I am considering requesting a transfer to Boone for them.

Boone Elementary is filled with women (and a couple of men) who love my kids like they were their own. Any concerns I ever had were dealt with in a caring but professional manner. Diana

Boone Elementary is like one big family. Me and my children have always been treated with respect and so much compassion. The teachers are excellent and make such an effort to get your child to reach their goals and succeed in their most difficult subjects as well as subjects they're already good at. Staff and PTA make it possible for the Art, PE, and Music Departments function as well as they do. Parent participation is great, especially when it comes to functions and fundraisers like 'Snack & Track Day' and 'Boone Carnival'. I want to really comment on their PPCD Program- (Preschool for children with disabilites)Teachers in all feilds of that program work extra hard to teach your child to learn and grow from their disability to get to a higher level of education and succeed as they get older. Teachers, Staff, & Principal Myers- You're the best!

Excellent school. Caring teachers and leaders.

I added my review but did not see it posted so I am adding it again: Boone is a beautiful school on the outside, and it appears that the teachers do their job. However, my issue is how parents and families are treated. Schools need to understand that parents come with what they have, and often they are unaware of the help that is available to them...and are unaware of disabilities, dyslexia, and adhd. It is the school's responsibility to teach parents as they would teach their own students. It's not an 'us' against 'them'...and that is not the attitude to have. A school community should focus on helping and teaching one another. Parents should be part of the problem solving process..and the school should help to educate them if there are issues. Aren't we supposed to be partners in children's education?

Boone is a lousy school. We have five good schools in the AISD, the rest are bad to awful. Boone rates awful. Tthey know this and they don't do anything to improve. Year after year they turn out poorly educated students no matter how much money we throw at them.

My son is 4 and is a student at Boone in the Early Childhood program. This is his 2nd year in that program and I cannot say enough good things about it. The teachers are patient and understanding as well as gifted educators with regards to children with special needs. The administration has been nothing but friendly, involved and supportive!

Teachers and principals at boone are cooperative. I don't always agree with the teaching methods or policies, but overall, i'm satisfied. What my child lacks at school, i make up at home. Teachers do not have the time nor the inclination to suggest your child may have emotional issues unless there is a real problem. Also, if you suspect that your child has adhd, it is your responsibility to schedule an appointment with a doctor. Don't blame teachers if you aren't doing your job. Sure, some teachers aren't what they should be. Expect that anywhere you go. And, as far as the boy who had three teachers in kindergarten? Classes were overcrowded (teacher #1); another class was made (substitute--teacher #2); then a permanant teacher was hired (teacher #3). And, the third teacher turned out to be a smart, compassionate woman who made great decisions regarding my child.

Boone does not have the right resources for kids with special needs, my son has dyslexia and they do not offer any programs that target his needs. The principal is very helpful and involved but the school does not get the resources that it needs from the school district to help kids like my son.

Boone has been a wonderful school for my daugher who will be starting 5th grade in August. She has had 5 great teachers and Boone is giving her a solid foundation for the future.

Boone has been a great school for my oldest son, he has thrived there. He is in the 4th grade now and has been A/B honor roll all year. However, my youngest son is in Kindergarten and it has been quite the opposite for him. It has been a struggle for him and I. I am not sure if it was a teacher/student clash, but I have decided to transfer him out. I love Boone, don't get me wrong, it has been a great school, it's just not right for my youngest son. He will be going to a blue ribbon school that is considerable smaller. My oldest son will complete 5th grade at Boone, I have many fond memories of Boone and will miss them greatly.

My son is currently in 2nd Grade here and has gone since Kindergarten. We love this school and are moving and will miss it very much. The principal and assistant are extremely good and all of his teachers have been outstanding so far. I would highly recommend this school and I cannot figure out what happened with the negative comment from another parent. I can only say that I personnally have not found any other parents who have not been happy with Boone. I suppose things could happen anywhere and you can never please everyone.

Outstanding teachers and staff. You can really feel the mutual respect between the adults and the students. I have been thrilled with all of my sons teachers, except for one. I find them all to be caring and involved and I recommend Boone Elementary.
