Hutto Elementary School Reviews

Everything about this school is wonderful. Staff, activities, PTC involvement, etc. We are looking forward to all of the kids going through this district.

The leadership of Hutto Elementary is stellar. The communication has always been open, and the teachers are high quality. The administration appears to be highly skilled as well.

My youngest son attends and I couldn't have anything better to say. We moved from Schertz which also has a great school but this school district is Outstanding.

We moved to Hutto 1 year age from Calif. I was concerned about the schools here, But as soon as i got to speak to some of the staff and teachers at Hutto Elementary, i was a very happy parent! Everyone was so sweet and welcoming. My son's teacher is AWESOME! She is excellent with the children, my husband and i are very pleased with the way she exceeds on getting to know and involved with the students to see which is the best method of learning for the child. My son loves his new school, so that makes me a happy parent!

The management of this school is seriously in need of a reality check! I have never experienced anything remote similar to the lack of communication and caring exhibited at this school. I grew up in schools where staff cared. I have run across at best a handful of caring and genuine teachers and aides. What has become of our schools today? No wonder so many kids drop out. They spend the majority of their day being treated as a number and a virtually invisible figure.

This is our 2nd year at this school and we love it! We've been extremely pleased with the principal, teachers, and other members of the staff. They really go beyond what's expected and make an effort to get to know your child and his/her family. They really care about the students even outside the classroom, so much, that they feel like members of our family. I'm at the school several times a week and always have positive experiences with the principal and teachers. We've also been pleased with the academics and the response from everyone in regards to our child's needs. He loves it at Hutto Elementary!

I have found academics to be of poor quality and the principal to be absent the majority of time. At school activities and programs the principal is generally nowhere to be found. She is not concerned with the concerns of the parents of the needs of her students. Teachers for the most part follow her example. With notable exception is the speech teacher, Ms. Lisanne Taylor and the former Assistant Principal, Patti Baron. Ms. Baron is no longer there, so it will be interesting to see how the new one interacts with students and parents. Communication is lacking. The communication present is usually delayed and for the most part inaccurate.

We've been happy with our daughter's kindergarten teacher. She has been very responsive to my daughter's needs and learning level

This school needs big help. The principal is awful. I've tried to talk to her on several occasions about my concerns and she doesn't seem to listen at all.
