Deerpark Middle School Reviews

This school is really awsome, it was not ghetto. The teachers will help you with anything, and my dance and science class were terffic. I did my best to meet everyone, and I did not meet any ghetto people in the school. P.S. The school is a Round Rock school not an Austin school.

My daughter has had a lot of problems at this school. She calls it a ghetto school. Academically it seems fine but the social scene for the kids does not seem to be a positive one.

Best learning ive see in a while. The kids are all nice and it stands out from the other schools.

This is a wonderful school that constantly provides a positive learning environment for the children. My 6th grade child looks forward to her band class each day and always has great things to say about her teachers.

I was worried/anxious when my daughter made the transition into middle school. Fortunately, I've been very happy with Deerpark thus far. RRISD in general is the best in the Austin area in my opinion. The staff and teachers are well organized. Communication between parents and teachers is fairly easy. They offer a homework hotline for students to call. The curriculum challenges the students to learn, etc. Although I do not like where I live - I am going to stay so that I may keep my child in the RRISD - specifically Deerpark!

Deerpark Middle School is an excellent school, with fantastic, dedicated administrators and quality teachers. Our school is a very interesting ethnic mix (that the limited categories in the 'ethnicity' profile do not adequately explain). I am happy that my child attends such a diverse, alive school! I was very fearful of middle school, but now that I have an 8th grader - it has been a very positive experience.

Great Art and Athletic program!!!

Deerpark is a really good school. We have had a pretty positive experience these past 2 years, great educators and teachers. The quality and attitude of some students do have me concerned, but overall Deerpark has been a good school.
