“My kindergartner is excelling at GOE. Teachers and staff really show they care about the kids. As a teacher in another school, I can easily recognize good teachers. There are a bunch of them at GOE! Mr. C. and the Wellness program is superb. I would not want my daughter anywhere else.”

“Great Oaks is the best Elementary School in one of the best distrists in the state. The teachers and staff are second to none, and the parental involvement is incredible. My children are getting the absolute best education they could recieve; public school, or private. We are never moving out of this neighborhood until our kids have finished middle school!”

“Great Oaks elementary is a fabulous school. Their slogan is 'Where teachers, parents and students say WOW!' That has been our experience at Great Oaks. My 4th and 5th grader have attended Great Oaks since Kindergarten. The parent involvement is high, the PTA is active and the enrichment programs are plenty. For example, the older students are involved in the small TV studio on campus called KGOE. Students take turns being on camera or behind the camera. The school uses a group dynamics process called Tribes which allows students to be part of a community of learners where sharing concerns or using the 'right to pass' are equally valued. Wellness ( with a strong focus on nutrition),Art and Music are strong here as well. Each grade level is involved in a service project each year. Fifth graders are involved in a recycling project. Great Oaks is a shining star in RRISD.”

“My child went here for elementary and was educationally challenged with the TAG program. She also had great fun with the morning newscasts and they provided lots of usefull experience.”
