Lake Pointe Elementary School Reviews

My son is in his second year at this school and we are thrilled with it. The principal is innovative, fun and truly accessible to both students and parents. The parent involvement is the best in the entire district and the PTO uses their fundraising money for extras like an outdoor classroom and Spanish for all kids. (The only school in the district to do so.) We couldn't be happier!

This is a really great school with awesome community support. We have been very impressed with the challenges and the encouragement to do their best that the teachers and staff give our kids daily.

My daughter is now in second grade and she loves her school. Each of her teachers she has had have been great including the ones who teach music and arts/crafts/sience projects. Every morning all the children meet in assembly for announcements and other activities. We moved from our ranch to this subdivision because of this schools reputation and have no regrets. The school and community are very involved with after school activities such as carnivals and talent shows.

Overall a pretty good school academic wise, but daughter was new to the school at the beginning of the year, and no one assisted her with where to go, how to get lunch, and common procedures. Teacher hardly ever responds to e-mails from parents. Child claims that teachers are nice one day and very moody and cranky the next. Lack of common sense witnessed a few times so far this year 06-07. Dodge ball in PE? I thought we all did away with those horrilbe memories in the 70's!

It is a great school. They have a new outdoor classroom that is great for the kids. It has a massive field for after lunch with basketball courts, ect. It is two stories and the staff there is wonderful.

Our kindergarten teacher is very involved with her class and continually challenges them (simple spelling homework and tests, money recognition, simple math). We are comparing schools across states (Az - Tx) and have come to the realization that Lake Pointe compares favorable with all Phoenix schools. In kindergarten our child has already met many of the requirements for the first graders in Az.

We moved to Lake Pointe due to the LTISD reputation and were estatic when they built LPE, but after our children's experiences we are extremely unhappy and are trying to move out of the district. We are especially unhappy with the district's choice of school principal.

My daughter transferred to Lake Pointe Elem. from the neighboring highly acclaimed district (Eanes ISD). She was immediately welcomed by teachers with that special quality of 'positivity' & a real love of working with children. Their attitude of joy at being at this school was shared by the students. My child was eager to go to school each day, felt confident, grew socially & academically; in fact made near-perfect scores on the TAKS statewide achievment test. The parents do an outstanding job of supporting students & staff, an extra advantage of the school being in the wonderful Lake Pointe neighborhood. This school lives up to its TEA exemplary rating in all aspects.

Lake Pointe Elementary has kept my child challenged and interested. We transfered from a private school that did not have enough programs or resources to keep my child from getting bored. Lake Pointe has the staff and resources available to help my child learn in a fun, challenging and positive environment. The school is located in a neighborhood where there are a lot of stay at home moms that love to volunteer their time at the school. I think the school has a lot to offer the students that go there.
