I have two children that attended this year. Both did great. Excellent staff. People in front office very helpful.

Best school in manor. They have very high expectations of our children and it shows. It is the best learning atmosphere. My children are very happy. From administration, to custodial, to dietary, teachers, all staff are wonderful at pme. The eagles at pme soar!

The school is awesome! Mrs. Bowen's is doing a superb job! Her leadership is something the entire district should follow. Unfortunately, she has a lot of young teachers (experience) which cause some concerns with me. I m a little worried about the district as a whole. I think the entire district focuses too much on teaching to pass the TAKS. I would like to see better curriculum that evens out all core subjects and not just focus on the subject that will help the student excel on the TAKS for his/her grade level. If this school administrators, teachers, students, etc. could be in a better district, they would be the best in Central Texas.

I love the school, but not happy with the school district. In my opinion, there is not enough homework given to the children. Focus in the 3rd grade was given to the reading TAKS test and hardly any math. The following year, the kids are in the 4th grade with terrible math skills. Again, the focus is on passing the 4th. grade reading TAKS. Where again is the focus on math? I fear for the children in the 5th grade who will now have to pass a TAKS test for math they are hardly prepared to take. Ms. Bowens is great, but the teachers get somewhat of a failing grade. Someone needs to make sure that the kids curriculum includes not just TAKS related material, but all subjects. Go back to giving homework!

A superb school, indeed!!! I absolutely love Presidential Meadows Elementary School!! My son is in third grade and he has excelled already this year. This is due to patient teachers that are determined that my child succeed personally and academically. Honestly, I worry about him moving on to the Middle School. If I could move this staff through the grades along with my son, I would! I don't want anyone ruining what PME has done for him so far! Kudos to you all and keep up the good work. I'm behind you 110%! Anyone with anything negative to say must be miserable in general.

PME is a wonderful school. If any speaking is done at meetings it is to uplift the students or teachers, not administration. From the beginning it has been about the students!

I would like to express my opinion of PME as a parent, community member, and staff member. I have lived and worked within MISD for many years and can compare PME to other schools. I am not going to say which one is the best because that is only an opinion, but I will say the qualities of PME. This school is thriving with a passion for the best interest of all children. The teachers, custodians, aides, office staff, cafeteria workers, and volunteers all go above and beyond, to ensure that each child is succeeding as a professional and as a human being. Keep up the awesome work...and thank you!

I think P.M.E. is the most superb school in Manor! Tara Bowens, our principal is definitley not all about herself. She really cares deeply for all her teachers and students. She considers us one big family and makes sure that that attitude is the same throughout the school. I tell my kids daily that they are like my children and that even after they leave my classroom in the years to come they can call me if they need help or advice. I think the can do attitude at this school is wonderful. As for Eagles Cry, I believe this is a vital part of our educational community. This is more than just a pep rally, it is a way to show our students that we appreciate all their hard work and encourage them to continue making wise choices. P.M.E. just dosen't care about education, they care about the whole child.

I do NOT agree. I think this is a great school! The kids love coming to school everyday. The principal and teachers are all so positive. This is exactly the type of environment where children learn the most. I appreciate everything that the staff of PME does. They all realize that teaching is not an easy job. Thanks to PME!

PME is an awesome school! Poo to the parents who brought their negative feelings from past campusus and bad experiences. This campus has an excited energy that our kids thrive in. They are surrounded with ambitious, proud, strong people who serve as great role models for our children. The only thing lacking at PME is parent involvement

PME is the 'most superb' school in Manor! The principal is all about family.

Everything that has occurred at PME has been well thought out and have included input from all staff members. Not only has everything been well thought out, but the ultimate goal has and will always be how students will be affected. What will the benefits of programs be for student success? In the last 7 years I have not worked with a principal so dedicated to the academic/personal success of students. While this website is great and allows for parents, students, staff, and community members to share their thoughts and concerns, it has been Ms. Bowens goal to have a welcoming environment. One where students, staff, parents and community members can come to and address personal issues and concerns. I know an invitation has already been sent out, but at this time I want to personally invite everyone to attend Tea with Tara-call for specific date/times.

I am not impressed with this school one bit. I am looking to send my children to a private school. I am not thrilled with the principal at this school. Everytime we have school meeting she talks about herself. I am not interested in a principal that is about herself. I am interested in a principal that is here for the children and their education. Every Friday they hold an 'Eagle Cry' assembly. In my opinion this is a waste of time. Yes it's nice to get the children pepped up but it takes too much time away form them learning. I do understand that this is a new school and is slowly growing but I don't think it has taken off the right path.
