COPPER HARBOR, Mich. (AP) - A lodge in Michigan's Upper Peninsula that was built during the Great Depression is going to a different buyer after being auctioned off for nearly $1.3 million.

WLUC-TV reports John Lamb and his Corpus Christi, Texas-based property business last month placed the top bid on Keweenaw Mountain Lodge in Keweenaw County, but this week he passed his interest in the property to John Mueller of Austin, Texas.

The property includes land, rooms, a nine-hole golf course and a string of cabins. It was built in the 1930s to stimulate the economy during the Depression.

Mueller says in a statement that he plans to keep the lodge open to the public and keep the golf course operating, continuing to make it "a fun, joyful, and adventuresome place to live and visit."
